Our History

Saint Louise Regional Hospital opened in 1989 as Saint Louise Hospital in Morgan Hill when the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul extended their healing mission from O'Connor Hospital into the South Bay.

The hospital relocated to Gilroy in December 1999 as Saint Louise Regional Hospital to serve the fast-growing communities of southern Santa Clara County. It is now a 93-bed community hospital that has grown, and continues to grow, with the community. We offer many services and 24-hour emergency medicine with CALSTAR emergency helicopter transport on the premises.

Sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, which began serving in the Santa Clara Valley in 1889, Saint Louise Regional Hospital extended its healing mission to Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy, as well as northern San Benito County. We continue to follow our core Vincentian Values as we meet the needs of our unique and fast-growing community.
